Atelier Ludmila is a performance based production house and research lab invested in making art big with the public. Atelier Ludmila may be a familiar name for many Peterborough residents from past projects like; The AlleyWaltz – a series of performances situated in parks, sidewalks, alleys, wastelands, empty buildings, and other unsuspecting places, The Dream Machine – an ongoing initiative to gather peoples sleeping dreams through performative solicitation towards creating an oral, written and visual global dream archive, and Puppets on Parade – large scale puppet creation for public processions.
For the 2013 installment of Peterborough Artsweek Atelier Ludmila and Public Energy will be staging two performances of their puppet extravaganza Wunderbar! These performances will take place on Saturday September 7th and Sunday September 8th at 3pm in Victoria Park. (In front of the courthouse, north of Brock on Water Street)
Guests are strongly encouraged to create their own character to bring to the show. For help on your creation join Atelier their puppet building workshop on Sunday, August 25th from 3 – 6pm at Rotary Park as part of the Peterborough Folk Festival workshop series.
