The Board of Directors of the Electric City Culture Council (EC3) is very pleased to announce that Hannah Keating has been appointed as Artistic Producer of Artsweek 2018. Artsweek is Peterborough’s biennial festival of the arts and takes place from September 21 – September 30 2018.
Ms. Keating brings a wealth of arts management and project planning experience to this position. Keating served as the Winnipeg Art Gallery’s Curatorial Intern of Canadian Art, a position funded by the Canadian Museums Association’s Dr. Shirley L. Thomson Award for Young Curators. She went on to work at the University of Manitoba School of Art Gallery, where she managed gallery communications and outreach, as well as collections research and curation. Returning to Peterborough in May 2017, she accepted the position of Programming Assistant at Artspace. Discovering the richness of Peterborough’s arts community has been a hugely rewarding experience for Keating who has also worked for the Electric City Culture Council (EC3) and the Art Gallery of Peterborough. She looks forward to the exciting work that lies ahead as Artsweek 2018 Artistic Producer.
EC3 Board Chair Bill Kimball says:
“Hannah Keating’s art historical knowledge, project management, administrative and artistic development skills will be an enormous asset to Artsweek, which includes more than 100 artists presenting work in numerous locations around the City of Peterborough. Hannah Keating says:
“I am excited to join Artsweek 2018 as Artistic Producer and grateful for the opportunity to lead a project that makes art more visible and accessible to the wider community. I am also thrilled to take part in a project with such a vibrant legacy and to celebrate the creativity of local artists.”
