We are excited to announce that Anna Currier has been appointed to the position of Arts Awareness Outreach Coordinator Assistant for EC3 and Artsweek 2018.

Anna grew up in Toronto and moved to Peterborough in 2010 to attend Trent University to complete an Undergraduate Degree in Gender and Women’s Studies and Sociology. She is currently completing her Masters Degree in Sustainability Studies, also at Trent, and is researching the inclusion of marginalized demographics in municipal planning processes. She hopes to find long-term work in community development and social policy.

Anna joins us from her previous position as a Community Igniter for an environmental organization. Last year Anna was part of the study, The Status of The Artist in Peterborough, exploring the social and economic conditions of artists in Peterborough. Anna has many close connections with local artists and is an avid consumer of Peterborough’s art culture. She’s an amateur photographer, musician and lover of all things crafty, creative and antique.

Anna is looking forward to engaging new members of the community into Peterborough’s vibrant arts, culture and heritage sector and forging new partnerships moving forward. She is eager to lend her enthusiasm, community engagement background and networking skills to Artsweek 2018.

Welcome to our team, Anna! We are happy to have you.
